Don't sweat it. Let them do their work. It should be fine. Things often look WAY worse than they really are. Your headers get hot as hell so any time fluid gets on them it gets thick really quick. If you didn't hear any awful noises then it could be fine.

Dex Cool is the radiator fluid. Instead of anti-freeze it's dex cool. Has a lubricating quality to it and is pink or red in color instead of the traditional green.

I'd be willing to bet that they have it going just fine before Monday is done.

The dealer should have you good as new in no time. Doesn't sound too serious as someone stated. The engine runs and there are no loud knocks or sudden shutters, then it usually isnt too big of a fix.

Wow, that sucks! Can really make your adrenaline pump getting stuck in an intersection. It happens, don't let it freak you out. Hope you get it back good as new real soon.

This could be the cause. Some would say abuse!

Hope it is good as new quickly. By your explanation it sounds a transmission cooler line that came off. Doesn't sound like you ran it long enough to cause any damage. The cooler lines shouldn't come off or break but now and then poor material shows up or something isn't installed right and it gets past QC.

Not no but HELL no.

Not my daughter anyway. I'd let my son take it. But he graduated already. So my daughter is going to homecoming next weekend. But not in our cars.

I wouldn't either.

The owner of the dealership where I bought my Camaro probably would though. In 2009 he loaned a Camaro to his cleaning lady's son to use for the prom. Nice guy!

Yo, OP, please get back to us with what the cause of the problem was and how the dealer fixed it and their take on it all.

That would freak me out too. All of us here who drove old GM cars remember some iteration of this, ha.
