Dont be discouraged anyone waiting, new R&D like this. This is something no one has done before...and is being done by some relativly small engineering shops where the big name well funded guys have not attempted so that makes this even more impressive.

Can you still post the dynos?

So Tracy what you are saying is that with the current grind we maybe loosing low end torque and the car would need to be revving to 8ooorpm to reap the benefits? Based on the tuning that was done was the torque loss significant and was the lower end able to be tidied up with the tune? Also, and this may well be a question I need to address to Vince, but is the car tuneable to run to 8000rpm and if so would it potentially cope utilising the current grind?

Thanks Tracy!

Everyone else, sorry I haven't posted anything prior but Tracy and I discussed the results of the cams and decided not to say anything until we had details of the new grind and the next steps. This is a minor set back nothing more. We did not want this to undermine the success we have had and the new ground we are about to break.

If your curious about the costs of being first to do this? I could have done a fully optioned TT setup and had money left over and we're only to the cam only install. For me, this is about bringing the NA package to market. Being the very first makes the deal that much sweeter. As with Tracy and Steve, I'm prepared to see this though.

Again, sorry for not posting but we had our reasons.

Posting information before it is ready is just posting misinformation. Right choice all I want to see is what will I get when it is right. It may take awhile but I am prepared to wait.

Thanks Tracy...even from the un-tuned use I have had from the current grinds I can feel it start to perform well from 5000rpm and at 7k it sounds on song. Am fully aware of the vacuum issues though as brake performance not good at low RPM. Hoping these next grinds are the bomb and you guys can get through the process at a reasonable rate and then we can all move on. Cheers.

We did not want to spin higher than 7400 with the stock valvetrain, but my guess is with the heads flowing to match I would not be surprised to see these spin at 8-9k rpms making power all the way, so that part is a hit.

Car drove fine, but with that aggressive of grind at low RPM's we were not seeing the vacuum needed and we are on the same page with MACE on what needs to be tweaked so were excited to see the next ones. I really wanted to throw the ported heads on and see what they would do, but that would be a waste of a couple grand and we really need to have the cams perfected for the street with or without the heads. Vince did a great job on the tune...he squeezed all he could and spent a ton of time so hes ready for the next round.

These will be awesome, just wait. I have faith after seeing what we saw. Steve and the team at MACE are on the right track for sure.
