You did a great job. What did you use to dye the stitching, and where can I find it?

Thank you! I just used a blue fabric dye pen, I got mine from Hobby Lobby but you could get one from any craft store like Michaels or something

I have black cloth seats I wonder if it would work using red and not ruin the seat material.

Yeah I probably don't have a steady enough hand any more to do that.

You really don't have to have a steady hand. What I did was I had the fabric pens and I painted each stitch then wiped off the excess color off the leather with water and then after I just went and cleaned the interior with leather cleaner. It comes right off the leather if you do it within a couple of hours and so staying on the thread and off the leather isn't too much of an issue. It is for sure time consuming but worth it in my opinion

that looks pretty good, you have to modify the bracket for the boot from the manual, and still have a bit of a gap...theres no gap I can see with this one

What I did was I followed these instructions up until after you take the grey shift plate off of the shift frame. Then, once the shift frame and plate where separated I re-installed the shift frame. Then, I attached the shift boot and the actual shift knob so that the knob and the boot where now attached, and after I reinstalled the shift knob. Since the boot didn't come with any mounting instruction you really just have to align the boot to where the center console plate closes on the boot, which makes it stay. I know it sounds like the boot wouldn't be securely installed by this method, but it seems to me that it isn't going anywhere. I tugged on the boot and everything, and it is pretty stuck. But sorry if these instructions weren't that great, it was a really easy install, just making sure the boot was secure was to hardest part

I think you should go for it! I didn't really do it to try and make it look like a manuel but it just makes the center console look so much better!
