Smaller pulleys aren't always better. I spent yesterday testing this on my car. With the RIP 3.2 my car ran 10.07 and 10.08. That was first thing in the am when the weather was the best. After lunch, I threw on a standard 3.4 and ran 10.00 and 10.02. This also improved my 60's from 1.49's to 1.45's. The belt will slip even with the slightest change in size. I logged all these passes so I can see the boost rise and fall. The 3.4 on my set up slips too but not as much as the 3.2.

Not sure yet.

I haven't got to play with my car since the fest. Until I find out why it's dying I'm not messing with it. Gotta get to someone who can fix it. Atlanta is too far for me to go not knowing if they can get it done.

I saw the same boost levels with my 3.4 as I did with my 3.2 as well.

I wish I'd have just got the cog drive and been done with it.

I got the OD cog drive and went up one pulley size to a 3.4 I have the Jannetty tensioner and all seems good. I do not appear to be having any belt slippage. PQ I thought I would hate the noise, but I really love it now.

It's the noise that makes me hesitant to get it. Could you video it some time?

I'd want an OD drive so I can run a larger belt in front. Barely hear it would be nice for me. I don't care to hear it anyway.

Tighten the belt just a little more. Not too much or you will damage the belt. But a little more should increase the noise.

Here is a video of it making 12PSI on the dyno, this is as loud as it can ever get in a small metal building making a 678 RWHP and 671 pounds of torque. I will do a video in the car later so you can hear it normal driving. You won't believe the difference.

OK, I had to drive down the road so I took my IPad and did a few in car videos. They are all with the Windows up (you can't really hear it if the window is cracked) They are not the best quality but they should give you a worst case condition unless you are going over 12 PSI. You actually can hear my differential more than the Cog drive most of the time due to the BMR bushings. YES it surprised me a little in 2nd I did not think it would spin that bad in 2nd rolling on a good road. LOL Go back and listen to the Dyno video after that and you will see what I mean. In the car it is not bad at all. This is what it sounds like..... Let me know what you think?

If my camera didn't suck, I'd take a video for you. I'm running the 3.8 on the front and OD cogs on the rear and I'm right @ 9.5 pounds of boost with a cam, LT headers (with cats) and the factory H-pipe (625rwhp on the M6).

The cogs are really not that loud and I am still playing with it to try to hear it. When I drive with my windows down, I can barely hear the whine of the blower with my right foot smashing the go pedal. With the windows up and the radio on 12-15, the whine isn't noticeable and I have very high standards for noise, or lack of it, when it comes to my music. Stomping on the go pedal, you can hear it, but at that point, you kind of want to.

I think they were the best investment I could have made for my setup.

Like these guys have said. The cogs isn't that loud. Mine is noticeable but I'm spinning the balls of my blower. I'm gonna try and get near 18-20 psi so ill let you know how loud it gets. I'm going to have Ted get me the 10 rib LPE setup tomorrow.

Ok...you just need to stop. Your family and friends are concerned. It's ok to be a low 10, high 9 second car Jamie. Besides...why spend all this money if you're going with the Whipple!?
