I still own a house in chemung (the road BOCES is on), and friends and family are there. I'm actually picking my Camaro up on Monday from New Era Performance and taking it to horsheads for the winter and the rest of the work done. So I'm down for any car cruises in that area.

On another note: I wonder how many Steuben/Chem
ung county members we have? Maybe we can get together for a "local spring fling" at Capt Morgans after all the cars come out of storage.

I'm still researching mods/performance gains/prices, but will hold off until the car cover comes off next spring.
Just let it sit for the winter. No need to start it up. Battery tender, stabil, cover, and a long wait for warmer weather. Been doing this with my Firehawk for 10 years and the SS for two years and they both start right up. But let's hope for at least a solid month of nice fall weather!!

I think we have a solid 6-8 members in the immediate area pdogii. There are a couple more part timers. Vince and I have discussed doing a cruise night once a month at Buffalo Wild Wings in HHDS. but we haven't put anything together yet. Capt Morgans can work too with the old Harley Davidson place for parking. I'll PM you my number and we can work on the details. I'm nvr home, but Kelley and Vince are.

You might think this is kind of strange but it works. Place white dryer sheets (Bounce ect) all over inside the car, under the hood, in the trunk, under the car and ontop of the car cover. For some reason small furry creatures don't like them. No rats nests or chewed wiring. Has worked for me for over 10 years in my garage with multiple cars.

Problem with that is it will ruin the new car smell. My car still smells great after 3 years! I love stepping in and smelling that wonderful leather! I used armor-all wipes once that had an odor and I was pissed because that's all I could smell for a while! I would be worried that drier sheets may leave a smell, unless they make odorless sheets.

I would not put them on leather just carpet in the interior. I never noticed the smell after driving a couple times. I would use just the normal ones without extra scent.

Oh and putting them in the air inlet and exhaust keeps them from nesting there too. Just be sure to remove them from intake or you might cover up part of your airfilter.

I got my cover at thecoverstore.com it was a great deal and fit the car well, just incase you did not get a cover yet.

Also don't "buy" mats for the tires I have been putting a car away for over 20 years now, and never had a problem with just using a piece of 1/2" plywood under the tires. I don't move the car for the whole winter and have never got flat spots in my tires.
