get the money for a brand new bumper painted and installed. if possible find a good used bumper and buy the t2 ports and install yourself. if not. just get a new bumper

this thread is old but the ZL1 bumper cost 427 dollars where are yall gettin 1200 from and paint labor is like 45 an hour or something.

Because the bumper itself is 427 but you need a lot more than just the bumper for it to fit on our cars. You also need the lower grille, fogs, fog assembly, and other things I'm sure I'm forgetting. Even with the most basic package, the cheapest I've found it for is like 800 new

It was 1,100 to fix my fascia through the dealer. You won't get half of what a unpainted v6 bumper costs if you go to sell it.
So, I bought a ZL1 fascia instead and it installed with 73 vette. Total cost with everything you need(harness,correct absorber, matching bulbs, cowl lines moved) paint and shipped was $1650. (add $140 for the air deflectors that go around the wheel well.) |
