Introduction and question
So I've been trolling the boards for about 2 months since recently bringing home my 2010 1SS with 9500 miles, figured I'd post and see if anyone ever has some insight into this.
Sunday night after coming out of the grocery store I noticed a shopping cart was on the passenger side front fender, apparently som a**hat let there cart go and it slammed into the side of my car (which was parked far away by itself to avoid these type of incidents). Left a small dent about 3 inches in vertical diameter right above the camaro badge, no paint scratched the dent is driving me nuts though, anyone know of a good removal tool other than going to the body shop? -Nick |

Wish I could take another car, but I'm single and only one car so the Camaro is my DD for now.

I'd check into paintless dent removal, the dealerships usually use top notch guys or call a body shop and ask who they recommend using.

Definitely find a Paintless Dent Repair technician in your area. Several of us in our club have used them for all kinds of dings and dents. Everytime, you can't tell where the repair was made!

Daughter dated a guy that worked for Dent Wizard. Traveled all over the country and spent weeks and various dealerships repairing hail damage. Actually, worked on taking small dents out of both our cars. Really amazing. As long as the paint and clear is not damaged, most dents can be removed and you'd never know the difference.

Just had a dent removed in almost the same spot yesterday. Cost me $60, and was done in about 40 minutes while I waited for it. The dent is completely gone now. As mentioned above, just Google, "paintless dent repair" in your area and go for the guys that look to be the most pro.
And for what it's worth, my dent was done right in front of my apartment by some dumbass that came and parked next to me while I was out to dinner with my wife. I park SO far away at the grocery store, there's just not any way that a shopping cart could ever reach it unless somebody was trying to hit me on purpose. That was the last straw for me. We're already looking at buying a condo with a garage. I just can't stay in an apartment with a nice car. Not out here, at least... |

Just for info guys & gals, I have seen grocery carts on a windy day go flying across the parking lot only to slam into the side of a car parked as far out in the back of the lot and actually have seen the grocery cart end up on top of a brand new Mercedes, I bet the cart was doing 15mph across the open parking lot. I felt so bad I left a note telling the driver what I saw so they wouldn't flip out when seeing the cart on top of their car. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself. If you take a cart out do all of us a favor and park the cart in a grass area or put into the stall where it belongs. You just never know.

I figure I can't complain if I'm part of the problem, so yes......always put cart in cart corral. (also it's more considerate for the store employees)

Yup PDR or paintless dent removal. Fix it up in a few and it won't ever be noticeable.
