Lower IAT's help

I am wanting to lower my IAT's and have read all the threads I can find. I have a few questions for the experts or those of you that are actually using these products. I am running a maggie @ about 10-12lbs of boost and my IAT's stay around 40 above ambient temp. Super Chiller or a good dual heat exchanger? I am not looking to tune for lower IAT's but want the best option for protecting my engine and preventing detonation or timing being pulled due to heat soak.

I love my Chiller, AI or RX is fine, pretty much the same set-up. I see 30-40* drop from without the chiller.

I have read isolated issues with AC belts and clutchs.. What's your experience with that? I am currently looking for a shop in Lousiana to hook me up...

Interested also. But I'd live to hear the differences between the 2 different A/C cooler systems.
Pros/cons of both.

No issues with belts or compressors any different than stock. I would be interested in a link to where you read of issues as we ship or install nearly a kit a day now and have not heard of any.

We are doing install specials here where they are built or there are shops around the country that can do it as well.

Here are the advantages:

only adds app 12# total weight (every 100#'s is a tenth in the 1/4 mile).

Always cooling any time the AC comp is engaged so better for the entire blower/components as heat kills.

Never need to buy any consumables so no reacurring costs like meth, ice, etc.

Competition mode is for track use as it shuts off the cabin CA so no moisture is being extracted to leak on the track and puts all freon through the chiller.

Install and forget about it. If the AC is off or the compressor fails it automatically defaults back to the HE.

20-50* F below ambient air temps.

Your car will pull timing at 115* IAT's and at 150 it is pulling 5-6* and at 180 as much as 8-10* and thats a TON of power lost.

Anyone in the state can stop in and see one operating in person here.

Will you pm me a price on one of these kits. How long does it take you to install them. Thanks!

I have had to replace my clutch but as Tracy said its not because of the chiller, you do need some specific tuning to have the a/c controls turn off for WOT and depending on what HP is going to determine how fast your car revs, this is where the clutch will have issues the faster the rev the more the a/c clutch will slip when it disengages but the best practice is to turn it of right before you run at the track. For the street you will be fine for normal driving and some exceleration but you will put the same wear as you would with just the a/c on.

Let me see who we have there.

Turbo99 has maybe the most use on one to date and has done dyno and dragstrip as well as street logging.

If you stay at 40 over ambient at cruise or when you're out of boost, you have other issues.

That is alittle high for cruising but nothing silly high. I see about 15* above ambient with out the chiller.
