I'm picking up my '13 ZL1 on Friday and it has the base MyLink(no nav). I've read every post in this thread and maybe I'm dense and missed it but I have a question for 2SSRS.

For the 13's, is it a PnP situation if I wanted to swap mine out for one with nav? As in, get the nav face and head unit and just swap them.

It's more to it than swapping out the face plate. If you don't have nav you'll need a new antenna, nav radio & nav face plate at the minimum.

Why not just have the dealer upgrade it before you pick it up?

When I purchased my car, the dealer said they would *not* install the navigation option. Wouldn't even discuss it. Nor are they any help in determining what to order to convert non-nav MyLink to nav MyLink.

2SSRS - you show a pic of an antenna splitter. This would seem to indicate that the shark fin antenna used supports both sat radio and nav, no?

I do want to replace the faceplate and radio unit with the nav-based versions. Just need to know what to order. It looks like it's still cheaper than a complete retrofit.

My bet is that, in terms of effort, it will be similar to a scratch-build, high-end audio system with a roof-mounted antenna, rear-view camera, etc. Not an afternoon picnic, but definitely do-able. The big question will be cost - and whether or not GM decides to sell meaningful quantities of the head units and faceplates separately.

MyLink is a good system. However, the person who ok'd its release on the 2013 models sans navigation should be flogged and made to swim a bayou or two, followed by quality time with some reptiles, followed by a forced cross-country drive in an '80s vintage Citation.

I have a question though. I mean there are 2013's our there now. So there are 2013's getting wrecked etc that would need replacments. Where are the body shops going to get the head unit than? Does anyone have any hookups to get part numbers?
