2015 Camaro ZL1 engine upgrade and more

http://gmauthority.com/blog/2012/09/...rful-than-zl1/

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...more-info.html

I've heard rumors of the Gen5 SS getting the new V8 towards the end of its life cycle and now this!

I may wait to get my 1LE now.

LOL!

No comments... I guess everyone that wanted a ZL1 already purchased one

I would be more interested in a 500+ crank HP (NA) motor for the SS or Z/28

sounds like b.s. to me with the new cafe standards coming on no way: they are going more fuel efficient not more powerful...and lighter...........

CAFE standards go across the company. So they can easily do this, they will just need a super efficient car to compensate for it.

The gen5 v8 will be DI which means even more efficiency along with more power so not sure how this is b.s.

They (GM Authority) got their info from here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c7-g...more-info.html

So I can see what he is saying, but at same time he's got to say it's false.

Tampa Orlando Dyno Tuning Camaro Corvette CTS-v GTO GM Trucks performance tuning

Pretty cool pictures, but to me it looks more like the Camaro from the rear more than a Corvette. Chevrolet like the Corvette having the most powerful engine in their line up. I can see the 427 Z06 motor being dropped in to the Z28, and the Covettes ZR1 638 HP engine going into the ZL1 Camaro.

He also said they'd never be a Z/28 either, do you honestly believe that?. There are some things he has to keep quiet about believe it or not.

They can use the Volt to pad the CAFE standards for our real cars. Might as well say they get a zillion miles per gallon, they aint going nowhere fast.

CNG and electric vehicles will help offset the higher horsepower models that GM will offer.
