What does it mean when it says thank you for your order waitting on dealer production slot for it to go into production.

Ordered mine Aug.15/12 - Order number QNPGXX - Last I heard still camped out at 1100.

I went to the small town dealer that I placed my order with today for my ZL1. I had to cancel my order I felt like he was jerking me around he didn’t have a allocation for it. The order has been sitting in limbo for 1month. Went to the big city dealership Freeland Chevy and re-ordered. Everything went well at the dealership. When I got home they called me and informed me that they can't get a hard top for their one and only allocation they had left. For this order they can only get a vert. Well after me raising hell they split the difference on the price and I was happy again. I guess I will be a rag top guy. New order now is for a Blue Ray Metallic Vert. 6 speed. Waiting on order # now.

6 speed manual Ashen Gray Metallic, with Nav, sunroof, exposed carbon fiber insert, standard black wheels, and the standard leather steering wheel. I'm a little pissed the dealer charged me a 4k premium charge above MSRP, but oh well I love it! It's exactly what I wanted.

Found an allocation in Braintree, MA (Quirk)...about 4 hrs away. QQPFV2...was given about 10 weeks on delivery...oh pleeeeeeease...

I've had an order in place since July 6th. Just got a call today from the dealership saying that they just now were informed of receiving an allocation under the constraint of most likely not getting the exposed carbon fiber hood insert. I have a meeting with another and much larger dealership which is a couple of hours out of town about placing an order through them since they know for sure that they will be able to get a car next spring. Decisions...
