Thinking about selling NPP exhaust..
I've had my car about a month and although I like the NPP mufflers, I think I want something louder. How much do you think I could sell the mufflers for? I assume you can retrofit it to previous model years, but does anybody know what it would cost to do that with new parts to try to get a gauge of what mine are worth? My car has 600 miles on it. Thanks for the help.

It will require a few additional items to bolt on the non NPP cars.
Mild2Wild makes a kit to activate the valves cost about $200.00 and the Rear Diffusser would have to be modified or replaced with openings for the dual tips, thats another few hundred if replaceing with new parts. Shipping will be an issue since its a welded assembly , pretty big / bulky. But if you can find someone local that might work out. Last edited by Indyblue98; 10-02-2012 at 12:38 PM. Reason: Detail |

![]() Sorry misunderstood your post. Don't think you can buy the pieces seperate. One of the GM vendors here has a post to do the conversion. But the Mufflers are sold with all the other pipe from the Convertors back to the tips. |

In Corvetteland, take off NPP's are maybe $700-$1000. New, they're like $1500, but nobody buys new.
But just to make things interesting......where in Texas are you?

Put headers on it and it will be plenty loud.

When you say you want it louder, do you mean under normal driving, or even when the valves are open? On the vette, you can pull a particular fuse which leaves the valves open all the time. Another option is one that I have on my GS, it's a little metal collar that you put on the valve actuation rod that keeps the valve from closing all the way shut. Where you secure the collar determines how much the valve stays open, and thereby how much sound it makes. At WOT, the valves still fully open as they normally would.

Like Clean suggested, why not just install the mild2wild controller and then you can be loud or quiet whenever you feel the mood??
here's the link http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ight=mild2wild

If you don't want to go the header route get hi flow cats. It will be loud then.

I wasn't suggesting the controller, though that should be mandatory with an NPP car, but rather I was suggesting the adjustable NPP collars that retail for about 20 bucks.
