Installed my mirror tonight. Very easy using Ofer's (2SSRS) Plug-N-Play harness. Only took about an hour. Just remove a couple trim panels and snap in the harness. I'll post photos tomorrow once I get them off my phone.

With this harness is it possible to use the mirror even if the engine switch is off as in the previous mirror by pressing the power button on the stereo?

How does it look with the PNP harness? Is it easily hidden or does the harness stick out like a sore thumb. Seriously considering this, but I need to see how the harness looks installed.

Does the harness work with a 2012 model, or is that one plug and play?

Didn't know it even worked that way! I just got back today. I'll have to try that to see how it works.

I imagine it won't work because of the back-up camera. Are there 2012 models that don't have the camera system?

Tried it. Radio comes on, but no power to the mirror. Didn't know the old mirror powered up that way too.

Details???

Won't go into many details, this mirror turns on and off through a signal that sends the BCM, is why that mirror needs constant power.
