Onstar, Take a hike

Anyone know how to tell Onstar and XM to take a hike. They have been calling me for the last 2 months to get me to sign up. you'd think one call would be sufficiant but I guess not. Last night they called me at 10pm.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Sirius-XM has called, emailed and snail mailed me at least 200 times the past year. The paper, envelopes and postage alone could probably pay for a years subscription. Don't know how they justify such strong arm solicitation tactics. Leave people alone.

The product is cool: But this company has REALLY scrimped on customer service. I have never dealt with such utterly stupid and incompetent idiots in my entire life. I could pontificate much with examples of how bad they are. The weak link for this company is their truly repulsive method of dealing with customers, potential customers, ex- customers, and people who really want nothing to do with them BECAUSE they are so incredibly bad. You are probably S.O.L... unless you change your phone number, move out of the country, and get some "doctor" to alter your appearance.

Every company has to allow you to Opt out from being contacted by them. The next time they call ask for a supervisor and inform them that you no longer wish to be contacted by ONSTAR. Let them know that you will take legal action if the calls do not stop.

The person you are talking to is just a drone and they are not putting you on the do not call list. So the next day the computer gets your number and calls you again.

I know how you feel, I got a 2010 SS and they will not leave me alone with their free shit. I am on the fence about XM but OnStar is just way to creepy. Down the road I will be taking that shark fin off and disable the damn thing, XM won't work but I am really not a big fan.

Tell them to get lost and if they call again ask for the caller's name and their supervisor's full name and tell them you are reporting them to the state attorney's office for harassment.

Are they calling your cell phone or land line?? If it's cell phone I know Verizon has a section within your account that you can list up to 3 (I think maybe 5 ?) numbers to block. I have been getting calls from Vista College out the wazoo and I put all the numbers I knew of on that call block list. Try it out, if your company has one too!! I think we should be able to get them for harassment, but nothing ever comes of it.

There is a nation wide number you can call and put your number on a "Do Not Call list". Once you are on that list the solicitation companies cannot call you. If they do call you once you are on the list then they are subject to a fine or a lawsuit or something. However, until you are on that list, they can call you at their discretion. Here is the "Do Not Call" website: https://www.donotcall.gov/

I did the free trial for OnStar. The only feature I cared about was the hands free calling and the navigation. The problem is the price. It is like $300 a year for the service...and then you have to purchase minutes...and the minutes have an expiration date. It is expensive because they use live operators 24/7 and they give it away for free for 2 years to new car buyers. So IMO it isn't worth it. Especially when cell phones are voice activated and have navigation features. And some aftermarket head units can do this as well.

File harrasment charges.... They legally have to record the calls so you have proof of you saying "stop calling please"

Now that's only if it really bothers you that much because obviously that's a huge extent
