How much do you want to spend and what sound or loudness are you looking for?

Flowmaster catback is great sound. Not too loud, medium, sounds like a muscle car, and much less than $1K.

Axle backs and cat backs aren't technically a brand of exhaust.... But to answer your question the best axle back under your criteria would be the MRT V2 and cat back I would say ARK or SOLO.... Now this is based on if you have a V6, not sure what you have

Can't go wrong with ARK, either the N2 or DTS are good systems and are in the price range you have

For your SS and medium sound, I'd go with Corsa-a little over your 1k budget.

Been eyeballing the Magnaflow 16483, Borla S-Type, & Borla ATAK. All depends on what mods you plan on down the road & the sound you're looking for. With the factory headers/cats in place, your new exhaust is going to sound obviously different. Once you install headers/HFC, the acoustics are going to change that much more (read: louder).
