Sorry for the confusion, Van Sandt was not hit by a truck (it was the only picture I had showing the large yellow signs PennDot put on all of the covered bridges).

The bridge that is now closed is the Erwinna Covered Bridge.

Also, the last bridge will be removed from our ride. Some yahoo in a truck decided last week to try and squeeze through the Erwinna covered bridge and took the top along with him. PennDOT butressed what is left but it will require extensive repairs and is closed.

Neither floods nor trucks will keep us from cruising the bridges!

You remember last year well! I think the thread bumped around the night before as well trying to figure out if we should go or not due to possibility of rain that morning. Let's hope its clear sailing this year!

I also edited the first post with list of people looking to join. We're up to ~24 cars now, looking forward to it.

Don't know. I checked their website and they don't have any activities posted for that day that I could find. I'm open to whatever the group feels like doing.

Would love to join you guys but our newborn has been keeping us busy so can't plan ahead too much. Put me in as a "maybe". Here's pics from the last year's meet.
