First of all....................The OP has provided plenty of material video evidence to back up his claims against Hertz's deceptive practices in his vacationing locale..His contract clearly line itemzes a SS model in the rate he was charged..........That should subdue anyone pointing out that he may possibly be a troll..........apologies should be forthcoming as quickly from the same lot as they were initially tossing the OP under the bridge.........Thanks OP and kudo's for your willingness to expose yourself personally while helping stave off a wolf from the next unexpected Camaro renters wallet. Hertz's should be ashamed...................one could suppose they're following the old corporate creed'o and another reason American's Companies keep losing ground, there is obvioulsy less reason to trust them........Its easier saying you're sorry after getting caught, than doing the right thing upfront~Thats my .02 on the matter.................if it matters at all.

It's worse than false advertising, it's consumer fraud.

I could see where someone may have bought a V6, then traded the whole car minus the badges back to the rental car place. I'm really surprised there isn't a more concerted investigation of this to see if someone essentially stole the higher end car to have it shipped or kept it on the island. Either way, something sounds very bad in this case.

It does have a decent amount of ooomph, you just gotta wind up the engine into the higher RPMs

Oh it had much more opmh than my 02 V6 but I had been expecting much more for a car that should have had 400HP. It was certainly no slouch though.

I would enjoy my vacation and then do everything possible to pull the carpet out from under these frauds. Anyone who says just get a reduction in the price is a little to eager to bend over and grab their ankles for these shysters. The local television station and the AG are a good place to start. I am sure a hidden camera spot would be a hit on the late news.

The real problem is that it misrepresents a GM vehicle. GM should be the ones taking Hertz to court over it.

Unless I missed it what did the VIN indicate on the Hertz car? V6 or V8? I think the engine code is the 8th digit.

IF, the OP found an attorney to represent him, Hertz would shut it down before the ink dried on the paper. And the OP wouldn't get a cent by the way, probably some vouchers for a free rental.
This is retarded. 4 pages and over 100 posts....
