Okay, I'm wondering about changing the oil. I usually use the quick oil change places, like Mr.Hotshine.

http://www.mistercarwash.com/Locatio...true&Region=El Paso, TX

I think they use 10W-30 oil. So I'm reading the owners manual, and it says to ONLY use 5W-30, and to NOT use 10W-30, 10W-40, etc, blah, blah, blah. It also says to only use Dexos 1 certified oil. Is this a bunch of BS? It also says failure to use the proper oil can void the warranty. So I can't get my oil changed at Mister Hotshine?:( What is this? Should I take my car back to Viva, and demand a refund over this?

You don't have to use Dexos brand oil, but you do have to use an oil the meets the same specifications including being 5w-30. As long as the quick change place uses the correct oil, the is no warranty problem going to one.

Hey all, enjoyed seeing everyone since it had been awhile, but really was not please with Hooters. Prob won't eat there again. Glad to see and meet some new people!
For anyone thinking of upgrading their sway bars I would suggest going with new end links too. I found one of my front end links broken with the stock bars. Right now I don't have a sway installed as I am waiting for the rest of my Pedders parts to come in. (New bars and end links)

Wondering why you weren't pleased with Hooters. Lousy service?

Use royal purple for your oil. It is considered the best synthetic oil by many users Including myself. Royal Purple synthetic oil and synthetic lubricants are formulated to maximize performance in real world applications. Numerous independent parties report performance gains by using Royal Purple lubricants. All my vehicles use royal purple and not just oil but also the synthetic lubricants. Look it up online

Yes, four of us ordered food at the same time and my sandwich didn't come out until ten minutes later and without the side it was suppose to come with and the fries I ordered extra. We were all suppose to get a 10% dicount, but the waitress said she knew nothing about it and after 3 attempts to get it we asked about a military discount and was told yes. Took two attempts to get that and it was only 5%. Plus the sandwich I ordered was $8.99 for a normal size chicken cheddar and bacon. Not worth it. Also our appitizer was brought out with the rest o the food. Never had a good meal at any hooters so far.

She was something else wasn't she. She was nice, but wow . When my hubby came home this morning I had to tell him about her spelling out Barq's cuz she couldn't pronounce it. THAT'S where it all began.

I called my insurance agent when I got the camaro, to switch over my coverage. I told her I was adding new wheels, and other improvements, and asked her if my insurance would cover the improvements. She said yes, just to keep all the receipts.

Sorry to hear about the lousy service at Hooters. So they serve over priced food, give lousy service, but hey, they got sexy waitresses. Whatever.

Well today I went and studied my camaro. I learned how to work the radio, the display information center that gives the tire pressure, and all that sort of thing, how to add oil and coolant, and found my battery under my spare tire in the trunk. What's up with that?Putting the battery in the trunk? Anyway, I now know how to work my camaro.

I also went and checked out H & H carwash, which is pretty close to where I live. They wash your car using a brush made out of horse hair. I asked the owner if that would scratch my new paint. I could tell he couldn't care less if it would scratch my new paint or not. His attitude was either try it out, or get the hell off his property. Needless to say, I didn't get my car washed there, and I won't be back.

I also took my car through the Mr. Hotshine Carwash, on Mesa, before I waxed it, and it didn't mess up my new paint. There is one of those $1.25 car washes nearby, where you wash your car yourself. I guess I'll use those two places to wash my car.

Thanks you to everyone for coming out last night! It was definitely our best turnout and for those of you that saw word is definitely spreading around about First Thursdays hahahaha. It was great to meet new members that look interested in joing us for future events and as well as seeing old friends that have had other responsibilities to take care of. It was really neat to get to see Sabot and his colleague on bringing down their ZL1 and Z06 for the gathering and I hope that you guys will be able to join us again. Thank you so much to Gracie (Mysteek) and Kyle for arriving an hour early to save the parking spots for us before we arrived and thank you to: Pat, Eric, Teressa, Marty, John, Sabot, Randy, Randle, Mya, Gracie, Genny, Don, Cheyenne, Greg, Kyle, and Alex for bringing out your rides for this. It's unfortunate that the days are getting shorter with the Sun falling earlier as we are now getting bigger turnouts, but don't fret my friends, as we have plenty more function upon us in the furture such as a run to Ruidoso which seems to be a very popular choice maybe at the end of October, the 2nd Annual Car Show at Speaking Rock next weekend, and the Nikes for Kids Car Show that Don is putting together on December 15th.

Yeah the service at Hooters was a tad bit bad last night as the servers were kinda messing up the orders and were not talking to Andy about the discount that we are supposed to get. About 70% of everyone recieved the discount, but there definitely some servers that were just not cooperating. Give em the benefit of the doubt that it definitely was a packed house last night with our Camaro gathering and it being Thursday Night Football, it was just really packed in there.

Genny and I discussed about having another function similar to what Hooters has provided us this time Farley's which is across the street from Hooters. They would like us to do something similar at their location and they will block off that entire parking area right next to the patio, which will be a lot easier to manage. Now this will not replace the Hooters All-Gen Camro gathering, but will something more specifically for us. The date that we are looking at is either Friday Oct. 19th or Saturday Oct. 20th. You guys chime in a vote on which would be best for you.

Again Thank You All!!!

P.S. Shirt designs and decals coming soon.
