Notice the guys that dont have issues have yellow or white cars because these types of imperfections are practically invisable on those colors. But I promise, they are there...

Just washed my car yesterday and you can drive yourself nuts with a speck here, watermarks there, etc. I have a couple chips in my front fascia, "assuming" from rocks, but it looks like it could be teeth marks from a dog.

Nothing is perfect, I do find it looks better 20ft away than 2 inches away.

Some guy on C5 has a 45th that had some crap in the paint, as well as some inconsistency with the metallic element. He took his to the dealer but I don't know if he was happy with their work after repairs.

I had a 2011 Yellow 2SS and had primer specks all over the dam thing, really sucks when I only went on one 80 mile road trip.

Darker colors reflect the imperfections more easily...white or yellow or silver is more forgiving My CGM has fisheye on the top rear quarter and some dirt specs under the clear on some other areas...but I love the car warts and all

They all have stuff wrong, none are perfect. Some people are just less OCD than others or don't know what to look for.

Not to be disrespectful, but one has nothing to with the other......

I have waxed my car several time since I bought it and it's always kept spotless (garage queen). I know that car like the back of my hand because it's kept so clean. To be honest, on the whole car there are like 2 tiny specs, about the size of a pinhead. Other than that its flawless. Maybe I'm lucky.....

My recommendation, don't let a dealer repaint anything unless its really messed up. You will be less happy with the repair than the original condition.

I seem to see a clear trend, people that bought cars that are near impossible to see imperfections on don't "have" any problems: Silver, White, etc….

My mass produced Camaro's paint is everything that I expected-
No runs, no dirt, no mismatched panels, etc; and best of all no CHIPS.
That's after 3 years and 23,000 miles of mostly interstate travel.
Buy new house, a boat, an appliance and your going to find something that's not 100%.
Not to be disrespectful but you must be colour blind. If can't get the white on their cars to match all the way around their is no way your Camaro's front fascia and rear bumper is the same colour as the rest of the METAL panels….

It has little to do with the paint and more to due with the cheap process that GM uses on it's cars…

The no chips part is also because you apparently never drive the car. If it's sitting collecting dust how in the F' do you expect it get rock chips. Also on white you're not going to notice most of this unless you REALLY LOOK HARD…

Also it's You're not Your….

Definitely let someone that knows what they are doing repaint something. You get what you pay for after all...
