Integrated Garage Door Opener

I was wondering how to work the integrated garage door opener in my 2013 Camaro, or if I even have one. I have a 213 1LT Camaro, any ideas guys?

Probably covered in the owners manual!

It's a PITA. My dealer had to come over and set mine up. A switch had to be changed on my actual opener ( garage ceiling is 12ft) and then you have to have direct line of site with the camaro. I have a side load garage that I have to turn into. Silverado was much easier. I love it though, now that it works!

Not too sure if the 2010 and 2013 are different, but you program it like a regular controller. Press the learn button on the door opener unit (you might need a ladder) then you should have 10-30 secs to press and hold the button in your car to program your in-car controller.

Just looked it up on the Chevy website, and the 1LT doesn't have that as an option, at least not the 3 button cluster above the mirror. Only the 2 LT and 2 SS. Unless it's part of the new MyLink, I don't think you have that option. I have the 2012 1LT and it wasn't an option for that model last year.

I was able to use my remote next to the 3 button cluster (within 6 inches) and it learned from that.

If you have this available, your owner's manual on page 5-46 through 5-50 states exactly what to do with the system to set it up. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

I set mine up on my 2013 Camaro, it's pretty simple- long press on 1 of the 3 buttons you wish to be designated for your garage until it blinks, put your remote up to it and press until it indicates it learned the new device- done.
From that point on it controls the garage door no problem.

Homelink is only on 2LT and 2SS trims.

The 1LT does not have Homelink.

That's all I did too for two different remotes... easy as could be!

Us 1ers don't normally get that feature. Not sure if the convenience and connectivity option offers that on the 1 trims.

When I had a garage, it worked very well, and was very easy to set up. Just follow your owner's manual intstructions.
