Hertz renting rebadged Camaro LT V6s as V8 SS cars

Small update, through a Twitter DM with a Hertz rep. Apparently the Hertz rental location is now speaking with the local Chevy dealership.

So no official response yet, but it looks like I pay more attention to the cars they pay for than they do.

Are they actually trying to claim it's the dealer's fault and they didn't know they bought a V6?

I would think that they would go by more than a SS badge on the back of the car when making payment on it. Maybe check the VIN or something before finalizing payment? It was interesting that the Hertz rep replied that the location checked all their cars and this was the only one that was a misbadged V6.

So I guess Ill just wait until there is an official response.
