Allardt Great Pumpkin Festival / Car Show

This coming Saturday (Oct 6th) is the Allardt Great Pumpkin Festival Car Show, just east of Jamestown. We went last year (without the Camaro) and had a great time. They had 250+ cars, and some were really nice, but they probably had just as many craft booths (quilts, food, etc) that the women would probably like. We'll take the Camaro this year, weather permitting, and hope to see some of you there.

Here's a link to check it out:

Got any plans for cruising to the show or just everyone show up?
Looks like a good show for a good cause.
I might even get the daughter to go to this one, maybe.....

We could meet early for breakfast (Hardee's in Oak Ridge?) and cruise in from there. Should be a lot of fun.

Early in the year I met with y'all to see if there'd be any interest in a joint club cruise with the Music City Camaro Club. Fall is upon us, and while I know that a few of y'all are planning to head to the Music City Fall Brawl on Oct 20, are any of ya interested in a day cruise on Oct 13? (If you are only able to make one of the events, I would recommend the Frag race event over the cruise ... the turn out was pretty good in Spring and alotta fun).

Oct 13 cruise - plan would be for the two cruise groups - Music City Camaro Club leaving from E. Nashville and meet up with the East TN club in Cookeville. From there, we'd turn north and head up to Dale Hollow Lake for picnic and photoshoot.

No need to scrub the cars up - this is a cruise more than a show, and while I will shoot pictures, we are focusing on fun more than fancy.

Please note: It is possible a couple Mustang folks may be joining the Music City cruise, so if you have friends in other muscle/sports car or convertibles that would like to tag along, they are more than welcome (Muscle Car Ministries folk perhaps?)

I plan to bring my laptop, so if you are interested in pictures, bring a USB thumbdrive along and I will be happy to share any of the photos I take.

Shoot me a PM if you are interested in either the cruise (Oct 13) or the drag race and show (Oct 20).

Dale Hollow Lake Cruise

The Nashviile gang is going to Dale Hollow Lake Sat. 13th. I am going to try to get a group from Knox. to meet them in cookville. We will leave the parking lot at Denny's on Watt Rd at 9am. For those that want breakfast we can meet about 8am.

Please send me a PM if you would like to go and how many are going with you. They are going to provide some food and they need a head count.

Just taking in the Fall colors!!!!

Actually, the food idea got rejected as folks were worried that it was going to get too complicated and folks might complain about not liking the sammich selections! (I know I know! LOL)

So .... bring a car ... bring a friend ... bring some food! (though if it is a deal breaker, I will buy lunch for anyone that insists! hehheh)

Cookeville rally point for the Dale Hollow Lake cruise is the Algood Walmart (10AM Central/11AM Eastern).

It is on the north side of Cookeville, right off hwy 111. There is a McD's, 2 Subways, Shell gas, Sonic, and a few other little shops.

We had a good time with the Nashville group! Went up the interstate to Cookville. Came back by way of SGT York HWY and through the town of Rugby. Beautiful landscape with lots of curves. The best sight was watching a black ZL1 glide through the hills and curves!

Definately looking forward to seeing some of y'all at this weekend's Fall Brawl ... GMteSSted came out last year just to hang out with us and went home with the 1st place trophy for the Drag Race!!!

Also, some of you may be interested in attending the benefit event that we have at Ft Campell over Veteran's Day weekend. Last year we showed up for the event with 25 5th Gens. This year, we are taking a more active part and trying to raise money and awareness for Operation Homefront and their toy drive for Holiday House - both benefiting families of soldiers/wounded warriors.
