Hey mothra, what's up how is gigs doing,
I used to have it in front of dashboard but was told that these cars r fast and when you step on it license plate start flying and could injure someone, now on a collision depending on impact it could kill someone cause they r very sharp don't like our on front either but this is Texas

Have you all seen that video that has gone Viral about a fellow C5 members car?? If not, go to YouTube and type in Camaro Abused by Best, should be a white car. It's ridiculous!!

I wouldn't worry about the tranny fluid, but I would definately change the diff fluid. I babied mine for about the first 5k miles, but when I changed the diff fluid it had more shavings than I was comfortable with. Although it's normal to have the shavings and metallic specs in the oil after break-in of any metal to metal moving parts, I wouldn't want to leave them in there to get into bearings and such. BTW it takes about 15min and a quart of fluid, the peace of mind for less than $20 was well worth it to me.

I think the video has been taken down. Probably threats of lawsuits. I saw it when it was still running. I couldn't make much out of it. It's an audio recording, and I couldn't make a lot out of it. If we could see how our cars are treated, when they're in the shop, we would probably have a heart attack, or at the very least, be very pissed off.

Yeah, I believe Will took it down because the war is over with them. He hasn't posted an update but sent me a pm stating that they finally came to their senses and in a good way. I'm sure he will post something up tomorrow about it to update everyone else. It's scary to think that happens. That's why when my car goes in I tell Kyle to keep an eye on her. I know he wouldn't let anything happen. It's good to know ppl on the inside!!

I own a V6 2LS, so the temptation to abuse it I feel isn't there that much. If I owned a ZL1, I would be very nervous about the mechanics taking it out for a very rough joy ride. They would assume the owners of ZL1's have a lot of money, so screw them.

On a side note, I can't believe how well my car is running. It has a very nice ride. I'm amazed every time I drive it. I won't continue with either the XM radio, or the Onstar. It's nice to have the trial XM radio though. My favorite kind of music is 80's hair metal rock. Ratt, Cinderella, Van Halen, Motley Crew, etc.

Yeah you are right. When they see a bigger engine they want to get some fun out of it. Either way, but you have haters out there too that will mess up your ride just cuz it's not theirs. You should see/read some of the horror stories on here about that kinda stuff. It's ridiculous!! I know they wouldn't go joy riding in my car, just when I need something worked on I want to make sure they take the necessary precautions to ensure she doesn't get scratched, dinged, or any other not to good stuff done to her. NO!!

My hubby and I have Onstar but it is the basic package. A lot more affordable if you take off the darn navigational stuff.

The Car Show starts at 1PM, so I am looking for members who would like to help represent Camaro5 this day by bringing a sleugh of 5th Gens along and park all together and enjoy the car show. Entry to the show is FREE and there are prizes such as 1st Place:$500, 2nd: $350, and 3rd: $200. The event will end at 6PM and your vehicles are not allowed to leave the event until afterwards, please read the rules provided by the event organizers below. Afterwards, we will go grab dinner together at one of the fine dining establishments in El Paso. The participation rules are strict So who's in for this one?!

ALL VEHICLES MUST BE DRIVEN INTO PLACE. AS SPACE PERMITS, TRAILERS OR SUPPORT VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER DURING SET UP BUT MUST BE UNLOADED AND REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. NO COOLERS, OUTSIDE FOOD, OR DRINK WILL BE ALLOWED INTO SHOW AREA.

NO DENTED, DAMAGED, PRIMER’D, UNFINISHED, OR INCOMPLETE VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE. THEY WILL BE TURNED AWAY AT THE DOOR AT MANAGEMENTS DISCRETION. NO WORKS IN PROGRESS PLEASE.

VEHICLES MAY NOT BE MOVED ONCE IN PLACE. ONCE VEHICLE IS PARKED IN POSITION FOR SHOW, IT MAY NOT BE MOVED UNTIL SHOW IS ENDED. DURING SHOW VEHICLES MAY NOT BE OPERATED IN A WAY DEEMED UNSAFE BY SPEAKING ROCK MANAGEMENT, JUDGES, OR SECURITY. INCLUDING STARTING AN ENGINE, MOVING A VEHICLE, OR OPERATING A HYDRAULIC/AIR SYSTEM WITHOUT BEING INSTRUCTED BY SPEAKING ROCK STAFF, JUDGES, OR SECURITY. Second, I attended the speaking rock car show last year, it was amazing how all the people were attracted to the Camaro, but its hard to win Eric I suggest you take your first gen

Yeah...is funny how people get judge on appearances, If i would had showed up wearing a suit or a little older all the sales reps. would have jump on me...oh well Izzy at B..Chevrolet (i dont know if I can say name)Las Cruces got the commission, great guy and the only guy to talked to me while looking at the ZL1.

About how it run's...I can't really tell you cause I'm still breaking her in and I got long ways to go

I just hit 400miles and 1100miles to go...

Also..How many member are going to show at the Speaking Rock 2nd Annual Car Show?? I don't know if I should show..I never been fun of showing a stock car..
