Good for him ... I think I will mention when my car has to go in for service that it has a GPS tracker ... I can moniter via computer/smart phone where it is how fast it is going or if it has been disconnected!! Also great moniter anyone else who might use or abuse your car!

They're way beyond damage control. Damage control would have been giving the guy a new car as soon as he posted the video, if he agreed to delete it... etc. etc. They screwed themselves over and it's too far gone.

What's the big deal an SS doing hard launches and burn outs?! I kid I kid!! I wonder how many Camaro owners get warranty work done as a result of operator error or a fraudulent story?? Hell just a search on this site of ALL the "I wrecked my Camaro" stories caused by rookies turning off TC shows that there are a lot novices (was going to type idiots) driving these cars inappropriately. And this site is full of members openly suggesting lying to the dealership or de-modding before service. Strange in this entire thread there was none of the normal bravado about driving like ya stole it, ect. ect. There will be a backlash to this story. Not sure what it will be. Probably harder to get covered for clutch issues.

Look I am a victim of unprofessional service which has also lead to a buyback in my case.. And I do not agree with the way this car was treated. But sometimes the mob gets caught up. Raise your hand if you have never slipped the clutch, launched the car hard, chirped second and tried for third, missed a gear downshifting and bouncing off the rev limiter. And who amongst us with an LS3 have not smelled that smell?

I kind of think them talking about going through all the gears without using the clutch went beyond the accidental chirp....and remember, this was a test to find clunking at parking lot speeds....
