Robert, when removing the screws there is a trick of the trade . You hit it hard the top of the rotor screw hard with a hammer to break free the corrosion between the threads.

To remove the old stripped screw you can drill the center of the bolt (not all the way) and use a easy out they sell them at home depot.

But give it a hard blow before trying to remove the stripped screw.

Don't got a drill. If worst comes to worst, could you help me out on this? I can still drive the car, I just can't get the rotor off.

This is all assuming the JB Weld doesn't work, which I've heard good things about. I don't know where I'll find a replacement, though.

It's gonna get even cooler than this! Can't wait to hang out with you all tonight, Dani. S'gonna be perfect!

Didn't think such a little bolt would cause such a huge problem. Gonna try to call the dealership today to see if they've got a replacement. Hopefully they use the same torx screw on most cars with disc brakes. In that case, they probably have them in stock.

*Update: Grand Prize will have a replacement in by 2:00 p.m. I can think of worst mistakes to make than a $4.50 one since that's how much it is.

Angel, will you be available Sunday to drill this little f*cker out? The JB weld didn't do sh*t. This bolt must be abnormally corroded because, for the record, I did knock it a few times throughout the process of trying to get it to turn but it just won't. This thing needs to be drilled out and replaced. I'm gonna spray that whole hub area with Rust converter to at least offset further rusting a bit once I get the rotor off.

Robert, they may have that bolt at the local auto parts if you do not find the oem replacement.

I have friends coming in on Sunday from out of town but I am free this afternoon after work? C5M Garage is open today until late late if needed I already agreed on meeting the website guy tomorrow morning to start C5M website but if you need me in the morning between 10-12 I will push him back a bit but I need you to let me know this morning because I have the guy on stand by

Got the OEM replacement - Grand Prize is getting one for me today. $4.50. Can't complain.

Drilling this one out will have to be sometime next week, then.

Today after work I'm hanging out with Dani and some friends and going to Bayside so that's a no-can-doer. Not to mention, the front of my car is up on jackstands.

Tomorrow I've got to get my CPR recertification. And once I get home from that, I plan on finishing off painting the third rotor and I've got to leave that off the car for the rest of the day to dry.

Couldn't do Sunday anyway since I've got other plans now that I think of it. This whole weekend is booked for me it seems.

What's the earliest you can do it next week?
