Good job, nothing like beating a V8, specially when they are the one's always talking down V6's. It's the same where ever you go. If no one ever tried new things we'd all have V8's and it would be boring. At the end of the day we all enjoy the same thing, modding cars. I don't see why anyone needs to crack the shits.

Tracy and the guys down here at RXP have already opened my eyes to the V6 world. I knew that you guys could make great power, but I was never involved in the V6 world as we were more focused on other builds and V8's frankly. Now that I see what missionboi, Baylor, Gretch, U Dont C, v6owner, and the rest of you can do with these V6's. It's amazing.

Yes I am a V8 owner, don't shoot me. And yes to go 10's in a SS with forced induction, chassis work, etc. you'll be $10-15k pretty easily depending on if you do your own work or not. I went 9's last year with "minimal work" on a stock motor, and it would have cost me at least 25k on the retail level. Now this year we'll be in the low 9's/high 8's we hope and it's definitely 45k+ in mods at retail level. This sport gets MORE expensive, the FASTER you go.

$24k on a base car + $6k to be supercharged or $7k for twin turbo leaves you at 30-31k for a great reliable DD with some uniqueness as other members have exclaimed.

To the V6 world !

These v6's down here run 15 seconds when they're stock so we've dropped almost 2 seconds off the e.t. so a damn good improvement.
still though, they are running in the same conditions. it was a fair win, thats all im sayin

You will never get it, but its a V6 thing. We are not out with the sole purpose of beating up on big brother with our modded V6. Rather...just to make it the best it can be. In many ways we are still in an experimental stage while the SS owners have proven mods that have been around several years. So during our modding, if we happen to take down an SS, a GT, an SRT...a whatever....sorry but that is the victim. Do you know we had a V6 in the 11's with not much for mods...just some good ole nitrous. Its no different than some of these bad-ass turbo'd 4 bangers out there that'd woop your butt as well for well under the price of an SS.

He has a nice performing, unique car that is interesting for less than the cost of a new 1SS.

Let's go to the video tape!!!

OP great run a win is a win no excuses. Some in the V8 crowd will never give us respect no matter how fast we can run they still believe the Camaro should only come with a V8 they feel superior because their car says SS.

Something tells me my Camaro will be taking a trip to the West Coast of Florida next year for so go fast goodies

Funny, I did a guick search of your MASSIVE number of posts for some timeslips. I can see you talking about how your local track is good for bracket racing, but no timeslips. Show us some if you know so much about going fast.

Best I time I could find for Mr. Gunfigher13 is a claimed 13.4.... no slips... just talk about his blackwing tube and cut up stock box made him run in the 13s... then he went back to stock tube and stock box and ran 13.4... In other words he probably would have lost to OP also...

Good find! Reminds me of another BadArse from a while back putting down other peoples times. When we found his timeslips he turned real quite (HDDAN or something like that).

Yeah, I wonder if he realizes what your 12.9 stock versus his 13.4 looks like from the driver's seat.
