Sonny has it right. Every sport has there version of the "Yankees" Jr. personally isnt my favorite but I just can't hate the dude because of what his dad has done before him or that he doesn't win every week. Who would you rather have racing for you at a superspeedway or behind you in a draft? Waltrip? Ha!

Absolutely, I encourage you to keep the discussion going with your opinions...thats what makes a forum a forum...my feelings are not hurt...my point is that Jr. is making his own legacy now...and some people dislike him because they loved his dad...which is silly...its not his fault his dad was a great driver...and whats wrong with following in your father's foot steps? I like that he seems humble and calm...you never see him throwing a helmet at another driver's car, complaining after losses, always shows good sportsmanship...I havent seen anything negative about him on the track...and that a good thing because a lot of drivers are whiney chics..

In my 40 years of life I have never sat and watched an entire NASCAR race. I usually wake up for the ending though.

If you guys want a driver to dislike, trust me Kyle Busch is a totally a**hole!!...Last year here in Atlanta the race was on a rain delay...some of the drivers were walking around behind the pits going between their trucks/traliers and back to the pits...security roped off the area so that the drivers could have a path without being harrassed...Carl Edwards spoke to everyone signed autographs, shook hands, I mean the whole 9...and he still kept his suit on letting the fans know if this rain dies down, then I'm ready to race!!...Not Kyle...he got changed like he just knew the race was over and would not say one word to anyone!!!...and look at us like "why the f*ck are you speaking to me"...I couldnt believe it...kids were calling his name and he wouldnt even acknowledge them...

Dale Jr. has done well in NASCAR when compared to fellow drivers. Kyle Petty did well when compared to other drivers. Both, when compared to their fathers are not the sucess their father's were. Are any of us on here compared to our father's on a weekly basis? These two examples of drivers would love their sucess, but both know their father's were two of the greatest this sport has seen. It's not like handing down a Fourtune 500 company and doing poorly or as I said not as well as the Donald Trump and Warren Buffet of NASCAR.

Well when you miss two races you are indeed history for The Chase! Too many points lost by not running. Don't know that missing one race would be much different.

If someone else races the car...points still can go to the car
