Just Got a 2011 RS/SS

Greetings,

I just purchased a white 2011 RS/SS automatic. Just thought I'd say hello and thanks as I'm sure I'll have all sorts of what you would call "stupid questions". I live in Idaho so I'll only have about 3-4 more weeks of good driving before I have to put her away. I'm really enjoying this amazing automobile. I owned a couple of Camaros in my youth but they were nothing like this. Nonetheless, what do I need to know. I know what you are saying, why didn't you ask this before you purchased the car. Believe me, I've had some deep thoughts on that one. Anyhow, what do I need to know about this car? Your time will be greatly appreciated.

Keep on Rockin,

Mj

Congrats and welcome! I'm not quite sure what you are wanting to know about the car, so don't be afraid to ask questions!

Some things to know:

Permagrin will be maintained as long as you own this car.

The sun visors and vanity mirrors are useless.

Watch out for pot holes and steep drive ways, and never pull up on a curb or parking block.

Never turn off the traction control.

Have fun!

Welcome and congrats on your car. Something you need to know is that you may become addicted to this forum. Which is not that bad of a thing. Read, read, read. You can learn alot here.

Congrats on the SS. First thing you need is a new exhaust. The factory system doesn't do that 6.2 any justice.

This, or no exhaust...i have cut outs myself but oh my god the car is so quiet with the factory exhaust its actually sad. The 6.2 really does sound good without AFM enabled, it needs opened up.

Congrats and welcome. Be careful around curbs until you get a good feel of the car's dimensions.
