Add me to the list, as I would love to join in on Saturday, my challenge is that I have a commitment in Rochester until 10 AM...I'm just trying to calculate if I can make it to Watkins Glen for 11:30, figuring that I would need to stop and get tickets at "The Shop" first. Can it be done?

If you are in or coming thru the Corning/Elmira area for the Saturday ride. We will be meeting at the Corning Wegmans which is located downtown. We will be departing at 10:30 for the trip to Watkins Glen via 414.

We won't go on the track until 12:00. We just need to be there at 11:30 to sign waivers and get told the rules. For a big group like us that takes a little time. If you can be there by about 11:50 you should be fine. I'll PM you my cell so you can call when you're close so we can let the gate know in case they take us on up.

As for rules, for those who haven't done this before, one thing that can't be stressed enough is- Absolutely No Passing. This will get us kicked out in a heartbeat. This is typically 3 laps of 'spirited driving'. We usually hit speeds in excess of 100mph down the straights. If you're not comfortable with that, it's best to wait while everyone gets on the track so you're behind those who are. Of course we'll go over all this and more when we get there.
