Heated Seats with Remote Start

I cannot finds a thread on this, but i'm wondering if there is a way to get the heated seats kicked on when I use the remote start?

Its getting cold around here and this would be really nice.

If it's anything like the wife's Equinox, the HVAC system has to be set to automatic before the engine is shut off.

Mine came on a week ago when it got cold here. I know for a fact I did not turn them on, so it must be a setting somewhere. Either that or they turn on automatically when the car is a certain temperature inside.

Now now don't be so narrow minded... you can get one of those heated seats from walmart, plug it in your lighter and leave it on, when you remote start the lighter becomes active and then heats up your seat. You have to think outside of the box.

this may sound corny but there is an app for that. if you have an onstar subscription and a smart phone you can download the onstar app and remote start your car from your phone it also checks tire pressure fuel mileage and everything like that its a pretty good app IMO i hope this helps

Does no one read the manual anymore? It can be done but be warned the heater coil will not be in direct contact with the seat without someone sitting in it and as such it will take awhile for the seat to warm up (about 10 mins). Also this option will only turn the seats on when the temperature falls below a certain point (I believe 40 degrees but not sure). It's just now starting to get cold here and some mornings they will come on and some they won't but they always comes on when the "Caution Ice Possible" warning comes on which happens at 37 degrees.
