Does anyone know if these two things are mutually exclusive with the $1000 private offer? The fine print is pretty vague.

Lastly, is this program voluntary from dealer to dealer like the GM Supplier discount or do the dealers have to honor it?

Thanks!
The card money IS stackable with either one of these private offers but I think you can only use one of the private offers, not both of them.

Dealer will honor it.

Thanks. The other voucher greatly exceeds private offer value. I guess I'm probably just going to be limited to that.

I'd rather not say. Kinda like a rate of pay at work. Everyone has to negotiate and live with their own deal. I don't mean to offend anyone with that, either. I just also don't want to become anyone's bargaining chip and risk hurting anyone's career that took care of me.

Suffice it to say that it was enough to convince me to walk away from my beloved R6P car vs. living through disassembly, glass removal, and strip/repaint of the entire steel shell. When people enter into these negotiations for resolution to problems the best method is to take a step back, take a deep breath, check your emotions, and treat the people you deal with the way you want to be treated. My experience is that if you reason with logic behind your reasoning they will do all they can to take care of you. My car was "less than whole" in my eyes and they did all they could to restore that for me. I lost a good chuck of change but I do not have to live through the repaint.

Update : GM absolutely will allow you to couple this $1k private offer with a GM owner loyalty certificate. I just ran both. I also used my GM card bonus points. Any dealer saying otherwise for this combo is bs-ing you!

How does anyone qualify for the "GM owner loyalty certificate" ? Is GM ownership all it takes to be eligible or does GM just give them out at their discretion ?

My 2010 had a problem l. You can follow it. GM comp'd me because of it. Sort of like the ones they doled out for the side tank pickup trucks years ago. They are not given out random. I just wanted to let folks know because I couldn't buy an answer here a few weeks ago. I also could not get info regarding combining the credit card rewards. I just wanted to share the info for some specifics. Hell, my dealer didn't know until they tried!

The certificate are only good to the end of the month you get them. I have a avalanche on order and certificates for September and October. Until I get a Vin they cant sell it to me. From my trials for the last two months it SEEMS the certificates become available around the 10th of the month. I seem to be able to get them without trying now. The only problem is...Cant use them yet, the build week for my truck is Nov 5th. Soooo if the extra thousand is worth it, hold off until the November Certs are out if they come out. Search for rebates and special offers and special pricing. military pricing, Friend and family pricing, USAA $750 rebate. GM points, Gm normal rebates and your local fiance offers. Sometimes it better to take the GM rebate and get financing elsewhere. They all add up. You always have the two dealers fight it out. Where they under cut the price before rebates just to get the sale before the end of the month. Time and Money. How much time to you want to spent to save how much money. Good luck.

Thank you. Actually my plan is to directly pick up one from dealer's lot. Maybe I should be patient and buy the car until I get the private offer. So you mean it is easy to get the certificate after 10th for each month? I tried the method but the certificate never pops up :(

I have got one to pop up 2 different times. You do have to be patient and they appear to start around the 10th of each month.
