So I answered honestly and it seems like everyone got butt-hurt by it.

Should I lie and make up BS, cheesy, response so that I'll be more accepted?

....and I'm the furthest thing from arrogant. I love ALL cars (including Mustangs)...however the ratio of V6's Camaros are about 30 to 1 compared to V8's in my town. As a result, seeing another one pass me doesn't grab my attention....nor do the hundreds of V8 C5/C6 Corvettes. It's simply about commonality and rarity. Engine size has ZERO to do with it. So If any V6 owners got their feelings hurt by my honest/accurate comment...perhaps it's time for the "thicker skin" mod.

If one goes flying by me, I think 2 things: 1....If he is going faster than me, he is REALLY burning gas, and 2....I will pass him shortly, in front of a cop car that pulled him over.

Yep, those c5 SS Camaros are rare animals!!!

I love seeing any Camaros, especially 67-69, but seeing those on the road is actually a rarity. Don't know that I've ever had one pass me.

Not that many in Phoenix. You are right about the SS owners. No problem with the ZL-1 owners. Guess they don't feel they have anything to prove.

I was just joking about snobby SS owners.
If I see them in time I usually give a thumbs up or wave. But I don't get butthurt if they don't return it.

I think you misunderstood my reaction. My feeling aren't hurt, after all I'm not a 4th grader. BUT, a camaro is a camaro, so I get excited when I see ANY model, and I think you should too.

I was passed recently by a group of 5 V8s that appeared to be heavily modified. All but one of them waved at me, so it's clear which one couldn't see down from his high horse.

Do I love my car? Absolutely! It's a freakin camaro!
Would I like a V8? You can bet on it.
Could I afford the V8? Uhh, no.
