Deal or no Deal?
I guess Camaro's are addictive, because now my dad is looking at purchasing a new Camaro. Here are the specs and details they gave us at one of our dealers:
The online MSRP is $44,895 (Built @ Chevy.com), and their sticker price is $44,295. Car is not on the lot and needs to be built to order. 2013 2SS RS -Ground Effects Painted -Body Color Grille -Sunroof -High Wing Spoiler -Navigation $44,295 (Sticker Price) -$615 (NO CHARGE - High Wing Spoiler White, Dealer Installed) -$485 (NO CHARGE - Body Color Grille White, Dealer Installed) -$900 (NO CHARGE - Destination Charge Waived) -$1,000 (Private Offer) ------------------- Total w/o Taxes would be $41,285. Deal or No Deal? |

How is the wing dealer installed but that you have to order it? And how did you get em to waive the destination charge fee. I wanna know so I can do the same when I get mine this month

They probably "waived" the fee because the car price in general could be lower, but the dealer is justifying it with something. Technically they could have dropped the price of the car and left the destination fee on.

The car would be ordered. I "said" a shop near by gave me this quote and they are willing to honor it.

no deal. for one.. these are invoice cars. secondly, they don't even have the car... see first line. never pay sticker... period. it's a buyers market, especially these days. check truecar.com for a general idea. depending on where you are, put a large city zip code in (i.e. where there are a lot of dealers... and make them match it). if CA - use 90292 - will cover most of the dealers in Los Angeles. best, d |

He's getting the car for over $2k off of MSRP before his $1000 private offer. That's a good deal as invoice is going to be around $43,165. Even without his private offer, he's buying the car under invoice. |

I think he's deleting dealer installed options. I don't think he is still getting them. If that's the case, an OK deal but nothing to kill over.
