One more reason why Turbonetics is the best, and the best leads the rest

So this is MPG numbers for a 65 mile trip from Colorado Springs to Denver an elevation decrease of about 500 feet.

I reset the MPG gauge when I hit the highway and while traveling up there I went between 65 and 95 sitting 90% of the time at 80 for the first 55ish miles.

This is what I saw

For the last 10ish miles of the trip the speed limit slowed down to 65 so I set the old cruise at 70 and this was what I saw

Now the one caveat I have to admit is when I filled up the tank I didnt run the numbers to see if the trip miles matched up to the gallons I put in the tank because I normally dont reset it but I am doing a cross country trip this Tuesday so Ill confirm these numbers for you guys.

I have never seen numbers better then 24.0 so to me this is one more reason the turbonetics kit and canned tune are awesome. This is with 513whp and 530ftq at the wheels.

Ben

I know I am only getting about 15.7 with my maggie, but it is all the drivers fault, well I guess I could blame Magnuson for making the car so much fun to mash the pedal now.

Seriously though, that is impressive. I have never, even stock, seen it that high. I did a trip to and from SoCal to Vegas and the best I could do was 22-23ish.

Lol I am driving like a grandma. I wouldn't be disappointed if I knew I was driving hard or have a heavy foot. But I am really trying to baby it and averaging below 15mpg. Thats with alot of highway miles too.

Hey Caper,

Turbonetics set up with no cats, and CMS tune.

I am thinking it is the tune, we need to go back and do some daily driving logging to see whats up

Awe, damn Sam. Something is definitely wrong. I average 27mpg on the highway as wel with my kitl. It shouldn't be hard to take care of though.

Yeah, it definitely sounds like purely a tune issue. That's easily fixable thankfully.

Yea hopefully it is, CMS doesnt think that its their tune, but doesnt make sense to me when people with the same set up is getting way better MPG. They gave me an awesome tune that makes a lot of power and runs great, but I think more time in the daily driving section of the tune could be worked more. CMS been so busy lately that i can never get squeezed in. Been telling him for months now.

Now I got to Drive to SEMA with shitty ass MPG. Gonna be an expensive gas bill lol.

If someone can help me that would be awesome! Dont need a re-tune or anything, maybe just someone who can data log driving around on the street and highway to see whats going on.
