I was at my dealership asking today picking up stock manifold gaskets for my silly leak i found. Then I remembered myLink and started asking questions to the parts guy, he said talk to service. I walked my happy butt down to service and she looked at me like i was a whale then I started asking about myLink.... Then said something really silly
and I walked out the door laughing at her out loud and said how'd u get a job here.... I dont think she appreciated it, but wow... I think she absolutely knows nothing about a car other than how to turn a key over and make it noisy...Needless to say, I'm friggin' subscribed yo..... ![]() ![]()

Not messed up. Last time I took it in for oil change she tried to charge me 200 bucks! Promptly submitted a complaint to the dealership....

If the head unit and faceplate approach $2,500, that would match other pricing. (The integrated MTX-powered subwoofer retails for over a grand.)
I'd consider the upgrade, provided I knew the items and steps needed to do it. Afterward, I'd probably offer my 2013's non-nav MyLink faceplate/head unit for sale at a deep discount. Maybe 2SSRS would offer some kind of trade-in? One can hope . . . |

Hey I'm new to the forum but have been following your work on this nav swap.. Great job so far btw!!! I am very interested and want to purchase the kit after you have it all put together for my 2012 2SS/RS! If I could get a 13 rear view mirror that would be pretty sweet too ?!?!

I find in dash GPS to be a waste these days. Get a tablet or a phone even, with a decent data plan and a good nav. app. It's cheaper than upgrading your car to a nav. system and it stays up to date, looks better resolution wise, and you can do so many other things with it. At first I wanted this, but the more I think about it. My phone works just great, and I plan to get a tablet someday.

Either way I applaud Ofer for digging into this mod, pretty awesome regardless of whether you want it or not.

I just find it second nature to always have a rolling map as I drive. My old car had it and I miss it. I have a couple smartphones, an Android tablet and an iPad, so I don't necessarily NEED an in-dash solution. But I WANT it. :-)

BTW, Ofer did a killer job with the dash ABL and the back up camera retrofit, so I am sure he will do the best possible with this system.
