Is it possible?
Hello guys,
I need suggestion & information from you all I'm thinking to buy my friend's LT1 because he's selling his car for a very good deal but it is LT1... meanwhile I really like the middle gauge cluster, HuD Display, Reverse back up camera view and the Halo. I am wondering if I can bring the car to the Chevy dealer and install those features or even buy the LT2 or RS package from them? If yes, anyone know how much will it costs? Will it cheaper if I buy those parts from aftermarkets? Because my friend already have nice rims for the car and I don't like the leather seats that came with LT2 or RS... |

All that can be done yourself but going through GM would be so expensive that you may as well buy a new one. They don't offer packages on already built cars. RS headlights are super expensive.

hmm... how much do you think it will cost for HuD Display, Rear Back Camera and Gauge Clusters plus the installation? Anyone know? The reason I don't want to get RS or LT2 is because I want to customized my headlight and I can't stand leather seats :( so I was thinking why paying for something that will be scraped for a cheaper version (leather to cloth)

I doubt that you can even get a dealer to install HUD in a non-HUD car. But if they do, I'd guess well over $2000 (including a new dash).
You cannot buy the 2LT or RS from the dealer either. If you want a 2LT/RS, find one to buy rather than a 1LT - that's my advice.

I doubt the dealer would do it. either buy the parts and DIY as the guy above suggested or find a custom shop in your area and have them install the parts for you.

Depends on how much you can get his 1LT for, if you can get it on the cheap, it might be worth it. But I would check out the local dealerships first, and compare prices on what they're asking for a 2LT with or without the RS package.
If you don't like the leather seats included with 2LT and up Camaro, you can always replace them with cloth oem seat covers. There's a lot of people on here that will either trade or sell you their cloth covers. Also the it's a 1LT and 2LT, not the other way around. :p Personally I would just get a 2LT with RS package. You would also get leather wrapped steering wheel & shift knob, 4 pack gauge cluster, ambient lighting, and upgraded sound package. RS package will get you color matched roof ditch molding & fin, and larger rims.
