Cold Air Inductions
Just installed the Cold Air Inductions intake this weekend and WOW! I previously had the injen on my v6 which was a great product, so when i traded up to the SS I knew i wanted the Cold Air Inductions intake after researching for awhile. The sound is ridiculous and I'm not sure if I will be able to tell the difference in power for awhile since the SS stock is already a huge difference from my old 2LT. The hardest part of the install for me was getting the stock airbox off, it did not want to come off for anything so just ended up using more and more force til it came off, then the install of the new intake was a breeze, the hardest part of that was putting the lid over the heat shield lol

Welcome as well. Just installed mine over the weekend too... glad to be part of the CAI club.
And yes, the improved throttle response and intake sound is worth it! CAI quality is also topnotch. Permagrin doubled!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Next on the todo list for me is possibly an exhaust upgrade.

I swear mine saved me from getting sideswiped on I-80 south of Chicago last weekend. In heavy traffic and found headlights quickly getting bigger in my rear view and the idiot on her phone to my left trying to side swipe me from lack of attention. I saw a gap ahead to the right and dropped the hammer. Better than having a foghorn attached to the car! The phone lady straightened up real quick!
Absolutely LOVE my CAI. As my buddy said after I took him to lunch. "Your car went from 'excuse me sir, I'd like to get by now...' to 'Get the **** out of my way!'" Can't wait for tax season next year when I add a SOLO exhaust to the setup. |

Hey guys,
I am looking into getting a Cold Air intake system for my v6. Which company do you guys think gives the best performance upgrade and sound? Performance trumps sound for me. Currently looking at CAI, since this is what this thread is about. |

Just had a CAI installed on my 2013 2LT/RS last Friday and love it. I had a K&N on my 2011 2LT/RS and like the CAI better. Sounds great and looks great. Pic later
