Clutch/flywheel whine?

Does anyone else get this upon startup? You can depress the pedal and it goes away while you hold the pedal down then returns when you release the pedal. Anyone know what this is? Clutch fluid is good. Thanks.

Also it feels like there is a slight vibration at the wheels upon take off like it isn't slowly applying the power but almost like it is sputtering it out.

Sounds like some slave cylinder issues. If the sound goes away upon pedal pressing and comes back sounding like a scratching whirring sound its probably your slave cylinder causing that. I've noticed it in my 2010 with the aftermarket clutch setups but not with my factory setup in the 2013

Throw out bearing which is part of the slave, might barely be touching the fingers on the pressure plate so you could be hearing the bearing touch and not touch the fingers as the assembly is rotating making a noise....or the rollers inside the bearing could be no good making the noise. I will guess and say it's the rollers within the bearing being that you have a stock clutch. Usually if someone doesn't measure the correct depth on the throw out bearing when installing a new clutch the same noise can occure, let us know what you find

Yea I thought about it more and I'm sure it is the throw out, it doesn't do it all the time. But just because it's making noise doesn't necessarily mean that anything is seriously wrong it's just rubbing slightly.

I have been having a hard time getting into gear and when pressing the pedal in I get a scratching type noise for a few seconds. is this caused by the slave cylinder?

That almost sounds like the clutch isn't releasing immediately then it finally realeasing. That would give some sort of noise (scratching from the clutch spinning while still slightly againsts the flywheel / pressure plate) my guess is that you are not getting full throw from the slave right away...just a guess
