Sorry to hijack, but was curious if this voids the warranty for the car? Is it easy enough to just replace with the original system?

1st Camaro ever so take it easy on me

Does the camaro have a system in place to automatically adjust for the increased air flow? When I brother had his Mustang, he would always get it tuned whenever he added a new mod. Would that be the base for CAI or does it give a nice gain in performance without a tune?

Also, anyone know the benefits of a throttle body? Would it void warranty? I have been reading up on it and it seems like a good thing to install for additional power. I am going to dig deeper into this mod.

Go CAI. No regrets. Great fit, high quality, better throttle response, growling intake esp. near or at full WOT, and I believe in the advertised gains. Oh and your Camaro will have a greater lung intake capacity... it's able to really breathe!

Neither an intake or ported throttle body will void your warranty.

xslim12, the Camaro is very different than the Mustang. With the Mustang you do have to get a tune for every little thing but that is not the case with the Camaro. An intake and ported throttle body will add in the neighborhood of 20 RWHP without a tune.

If either of you have any other questions feel free to shoot me a PM. That is what I am here for.

Question whistle

I don't really hear the whistle everyone is talking about, I mean when youre outside of the car you can hear it with the hood up, but when I am driving inside it just sounds like the engine is maybe a little louder...I have CAI for my ss just installed a week ago

^ When you get on it (esp at or near WOT) don't you hear & notice the growl? At full WOT you can vividly hear it resonate thru your cabin... engine growl with huge suction/intakes of air howling.

Been looking at these for the first engine mod being done to my 1SS, next would be exhaust to make it sound meaner.

Anyone have a before and after video of the sound? Kind of like the JBA video?
