Poorly.
20" look ridiculous in a 3rd gen's wheel wells. The cars have perfect proportions with 16" wheels, and 20 inchers would make it look like a toy car. |

17 and 18 look fine with third gens (depending on the style, of course).

Yeah the third gens dont really look good with big rims. I think 18s would look fine if theyre a good style, but i definitely wouldnt go any bigger than that. I wanna get 16s for mine sometime!

really depends what your looking for. If you just toss a set of larger wheels on a third gen (or any car for that matter) and don't really "set" the car up for that more aggressive look....then yeah...it can look a little silly. Here is an example of a third gen with a set of 5th gen wheels installed. I think it looks pretty good: http://www.thirdgen.org/techboard/wh...amaro-5th.html

Also remember the condition of the roads where you are.
BIG rims and low profile rubber could mean dented rim. Sickness - Nothing wrong with your wheel combo..looks great.

I know this thread is old...but I happened to look at this and it depends on how you put them on. You can make them look bad, or great
Bad...... Good....

they do require the correct tire size to look right, not the 5th gen tire size. and being lowered helps as well. 20's are not too big for a 3rd gen. anything bigger may be too much. I had 20's on my 1991 RS convertible years ago. they were a perfect fit, ill try to dig up the pics

Can anyone tell me if 5th gen (SS model 5th gen if it makes a difference) 20" wheels will fit 3rd gen without spacers/adapters or any aftermarket mod? In other words will they go right on?
Also do they rub at all? or stick out?

You'll need spacers. IIRC 2" or so.
