Tires

Need new rears. but cant decide if I should buy a full set or not. or if I should just replace the worn rear tires.

I do plan to drive (Everett) during the winter b/c I dont live far from work. If it snows I'll park him.

any suggestions:::

you need to figure out if your doing all 4 or just the rear,i say this because if you do only two its highly suggested you replace them with the identical tires as to not cause an adverse handling condition,ive tried 4 different brands and all handled very differently,and remember...you get what you pay for when your talking about tires good luck

If you're just going to go with 2 (only recommended if you have plenty of tread left on the front) I would go with the same exact tire that you have on the fronts. Only exception would be if you are driving around with Drag Radials on the back and normal street up front.

I would highly recommend getting good winter or all season tires. I ended up getting a second set of tires and would swap them out with the Pirelli's for fall/winter.

I ended up getting the Continenal Extreme DWS, which were great in both rain and some snowy conditions. Not much will help in ice, so consider not driving during those times when there are sheets of ice around.

I actually found that with the Continentals and traction control on...the car handled snow better than many of my previous cars. None of my previous cars were a nice AWD like an Audi or something...but still...

Ordered a full set of all seasons.
Going to keep the front tires and perhaps sell em (good tread 6/32 or more left).

Thanks for the input

Pat, I have the General GMax AS-03. Perfect application for you. Sizes to match your rims. Try Tires Direct or Tire Rack for best pricing. Kevin
