Writing this letter proves nothing; GM people will drool over it and non-GM people will consider it a waste of time. I, being on the fence, consider it a waste of time. Don't talk the talk Wellburn, walk the walk. You can say whatever you want but only GM's future success will be able to prove people wrong.
So you're saying I could go to the internet and post stuff about you and your family that was entirely untrue, in fact the complete opposite of the truth, and you'd just shrug it off? Interesting...

And if they stayed tight lipped and said nothing you would accuse them of isolating themselves and not relating to their customers.

If it was a personal comment about Mr. Wellburn's family, then yes, it's worth defending. If it's a comment about GM, NOTHING HE SAYS is going to change anyone's mind. We live in the real world where corporation's have to back up what they say with numbers...positive numbers. What GM says right now, given their current state, will be ignored until they can prove themselves.

GM can SAY whatever they want. They can tell me a unicorn is flying to my house right now to take me to Gumdrop Mountain. I don't care what they have to say anymore. I want results like everyone not in the GM Circle of Love wants.

You guys kill me. Every topic does not have to be WOOO! GM Rocks!!! By having a different opinion, I am not a troll.

I bought a Camaro. It'll get here in July(hopefully). It doesn't mean I go around defending GM to everyone who says GM sucks, because...guess what, GM has failed miserably so far; I can admit that. Yes, they have some great cars and are working to build great cars. However, they dont market well...they haven't been able to shake off the fact that their quality was piss-poor in the day, and all those customers they just assumed would always be there aren't anymore. GM has hit rock bottom.

Now I hope that GM crawls back to the top, and by buying a Camaro I'm doing my part. I don't drink the GM Kool-Aid though. I want GM to succeed but I don't want talk anymore, I want action. GM execs should not be celebrated for writing carefully crafted letters; they should be celebrated for keeping a company afloat and keeping people at their jobs. I'm tired of everyone here applauding GM for everything they do right while just ignoring everything they do wrong.

So with the great design of GM's new products they should sell themselves, right? They should stack up against competing products from other companies, right? So why is GM forcing dealers to stop selling cars from other manufacturers?

The reason I called you a troll was because we have a positive thread and you decided to push your agenda to the forefront and piss on our little glimmer of hope for GM. Meaning People Like Ed Welburn, Scott Settlemire, John Fitzpatrick, Number 3, Ed Peper, Bob Lutz and so on who are trying to make GM the company you want them to become.

Instead of acknowledging the things GM is actively doing to make the changes you would like to see, you decided to take a cheap shot.

I just hope that at some point you will acknowledge that GM is in fact moving in the right direction and won't just arm chair quarterback this on Monday morning after the game...

Every one needs a pot to piss in. I just wish you wouldn't have pissed in ours....

Ed Wellburn letter was great. Stand up and be proud. Part of Ed's job is to be a champion for the brand, and this proves he is.

Amen!! If the passion those folks (Ed, Scott, etc.) have was really understood it would be well known that trashing the company is much like trashing one's personal family.

I like Ed's blunt and pointed responses. This is the type of stuff that should be out there to counteract the misconceptions of way too many people.!!

Bravo GTAHVIT!
