Any info on which of their head units with will work with? Is this going to be limited to 8-10 pounds of boost or will this work with something like the F-1R/F-2R etc?

It is a whole new blower. The I-1. It isn't an add on for other blowers.

If you don't mind my asking so many questions
as far as price yes. I have the tti/granatelli twin turbo kit but I got it used for a deal I would be stupid to pass up. Brand new it runs for around 9k without the upgraded turbos. (which is only a few hundred bucks) I re-did my fuel system, added a cam and new clutch. I love the set up. when not in boost it drives like a regular cammed car but once I punch it I'm planted in the back seat and and only move back to the drivers seat when I switch gears or lift my foot off the accelerator...lol. As for as mechanical problems, I haven't had any. When i got it tuned I cut the boost down a few lbs to keep the motor happy until I get in replaced. Then its game on!!

Great idea. Would like to see the reliability first.

A system like this will really test some of the tuners out there too.Looks like it will rely on the VVE table, not the MAF to keep the fueling straight.

One of their engineers must be into snowmobiles, looks a lot like a sled clutch. Which is neat technology, as a snowmobile motor can run 9 grand at 10 mph or 100 mph thanks to the variable clutch.

Why do you say that? Maf can easily adjust for different boost levels.

Probably a lot easier to tune than a turbo and any decent tuner shouldn't have an issue tuning a turbo.

Noticed the same.....been many years (late 80's) since I played with ramps & primary/secondary clutch springs on my '77 SRX. Got out when the '89 Mach 1-X was placed in the same class, so did everyone else with vintage 440 sleds.....still wished I had the SRX for Sunday lake drags.

It's cool, Its neat, it's lots of things.

But really...where is the market ? It's huge and it will be very very expensive and will that CVT transmission be reliable ?
From a gadget/novelty point of view it is fantastic. I just cant see the real world usage for it. And will the CVT respond fast enough for high powered cars where the engine will accelerate very quickly ? How will it cope with gear changes etc ?

Tuning should make no difference. It just needs tuned for every load scenario the engine will see, exactly the same as any boosted engine. That may just take a little more time, but that's it.
