I'd order new on a car like that. Just me.

Let them fix it and go from there, you should make out with price and some extras so work it to your advantage

I think this is the second thread like this. Not sure what the first guy ended up doing. I would say that if they can fix it by working the metal back into it's original shape OK. But if they have to body fill it Just Say NO.

I would go the repair/ inspect/discount route - BUT - if you're the kind of person who would always remember that one little thing and think your car "damaged goods" then do the wait.

Life is never perfect. If the repair turns out close enough to perfect for you, take the discount. Think of it as insurance against the first ding (which inevitably happens unless you keep it parked & under a cver in a museum.) You won't feel quite so bad when that first ding happens.

Let them fix it, as long as it looks "Factory new". Take the discount and benefits "i.e. oil changes for life"... If your luck is half as good as mine you'll have other chips with in 6 months, so it is what it is. I would make sure they do not report the repair, so it does not show up on any Carfax type report for future resale, though.

I'd want a new one since it's Nov. and I personally wouldn't be driving the Camaro until March or April anyway.

Have the dealer replace the door skin with a new one, paint it, take any discount and get some freebies

Everyone makes mistakes. Hell we are only human. If the dealer is going to take care of it and make it right then go for it.

Have them fix it and have them order you a new car. Make them let you drive it until your new one gets there. Also throw in the ZL1 floor mats and some other goodies.

i would order a new one, your buying a new car theres no reason after spending 60k+ you should have something thats already been to the body shop before you get your hands on it.

I guess my first question would be what the f is the detail guy doing with it in the first place, I left instructions to not touch until i got there when I got mine. Got pics with the protective film on and then I walked it through the process until I took it home. I even let the dealer that helped me through the 2012 nightmare waiting period drive it back from the gas station. I was never away from it after it rolled off the truck. With that said if it is just an easily repaired nick or ding then let em fix it and get your tire insurance for free,,,,. If the metal is rolled or creased get a new one.

It's amazing just how much people here have a tendancy to overreact.

The OP posts "OPENED THE DRIVERS DOOR INTO THE GARAGE WALL, AND FFF IT UP", with no further description of just what the extent of the damage was.

Was the door smashed beyond repair, or did the door just end up with chipped paint on the edge of the door where it contacted the garage wall.?

Without knowing, a lot of you are reccomending he demand an entire new car.

??????????
