Seriously? not even a comparison... I own Craftsman stuff because I'm not a pro mechanic and can't afford Snap-On, but there's really no comparison in quality.

I use Blue Point which Snap On makes but half the price. I used to use Craftsman but it's crap now, broke 3 3/8 ratchets and 1 1/2 ratchet a couple years ago and that was it. All plastic gears inside now, breaking my thumb nail off was the final straw

At home I have all craftsman tools. When I graduated tech school I even bought a craftsman "starter" kit before I started my job, but the craftsman tools at work are starting to be replaced with snapon tools now.
So which tool is better? It really depends on how you use them.

I broke a 13mm crowfoot craftsman (not even much torq on it)... took it to sears and they couldn't replace it unless I brought the rest of the kit in and exchanged the whole set. I was pissed. I shouted obsenities and left.

Why not just let them replace the whole kit then? Sounds like a good deal if you ask me. Then you'll have a brand new set.

Guessing he would have had to go back and get the set. I would be pissed too, sears is a 30 minute one way drive for me

Don't forget kobalt from lowes. I have a bunch of them. I got a 1/4 drive set as a gift and have been replacing my craftsman with them as the craftsman break because they are junk. Idk where kobalt is made but craftsman is china junk.

I voted Craftsman due to the good quality, and ability to just run down to Sears anytime I need to, and buy a needed tool, or change out one I just killed (usually my own fault) under warranty. I think that Snap-On tools are better quality in general, but the convenience of Craftsman wins over in my book.
