Good morning,
Is a catch can needed for mildly modified cars like ours?

Yes it is. Go with either a Mike Norris can or a RX can. I had a RX on my 2010 L99 and have a Mike Norris on my LS3.

I have the RX Can, I empty it every few weeks usually when I clean my MAF and TB.

I have never emptied less then 2oz.... That would of cycled through my intake/manifold without it so YES.

Imo, a catch can should be required for all cars regardless if it is modded or not.

A lot of time people on C5 are asinine, but that comment is just downright un-friendly for no reason. The guy asks a polite question, and you act like an internet tough guy. YAWN

Definitely. Personally after testing a couple of others the RX does an excellent job of keeping the caught oil in the can. Some may be prettier but won't keep pull through from happening.

Check out this thread I started http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ghlight=excess

I'm running one of these now with a 1/4 turn ball valve to make it fast and easy to drain.
