Did you consider a 1LE Camaro instead?

Just curious if any owners (or potential owners) gave the new 1LE Camaro any thought?

I happened to find a 1LE available in black (my favorite color) and must admit it is a very attractive vehicle, especially considering it is almost $18K less than a ZL1.

While it doesn't have the ZL1's suspension or the blower, it IS $18k less...

So, let me know if you considered the 1LE and why you chose otherwise?

i didnt, i was mainly getting the car for the power and suspension the body wasnt a huge deal to me, was looking between a c6 z06 a cts v and the zl1. zl1 just fit my needs a little better than the rest handeling and power and potential wise vs cost.

I bought mine well before the 1LE, but would not have even considered. The 1LE is an upgraded SS. The looks, tech, power, of the ZL1 are leagues above the SS/1LE (IMO).

Agree with the previous comment, traded my SS in on the Z and was not considering the 1LE. Have not looked back at all.

Yes I considered a LE1. My wife told me to get the ZL1 as it was what I really wanted. Still think the LE1 is the best bang for the buck Camaro. The ZL1 is the best Camaro you can buy.

Not really. It wasn't out yet and isn't available with an auto trans. It's a nice upgrade from an SS for those who like manual transmissions.

I considered it... As a track car I believe it is the car to have. Pretty sure it is the ZL suspension without the magnetic ride control and they use 4 ZL 285's. It has put up some great numbers. Not everyone can spend the 60k on the ZL
With some upgrades it can compete with the ZL and come in under that price.

My buddy has gone for the 1LE because he does not have the cash to put out, I respect that.... it’s bad ass also. IMO, there are no wrong choices when talking about these two cars. Lol
Good Luck

I plan on getting the ZL1. I'm still thinking about the 1LE but it'll never be a ZL1. 18k less or not, I still prefer the ZL1.

I did, but I decided to save my money and get the top dog instead. Ultimate performance. If I was going to spend that much, I might as well go all out with no regrets!

Plus the Z sounds better then ss/1le

No. I traded in an SS for the ZL1.

If I was not able to afford the ZL1 or if the ZL1 did not exist I would certainly go for the 1LE.
