1. I got the "is it fast?" comment a lot as well.

2. Went to visit my sister at her house and I asked her to leave the garage door open so that I can park in the garage while I was there. She said, "you know...you just should have bought a car that you didn't worry about getting scratched". First of all, no matter what car I had, I wouldn't want it to get scratched.

3. While getting gas, an attendant was on a smoke break outside. He said, "hey buddy, you smoke the tires when you leave". I just replied, maybe next time.

I had a BMW Z4 before this car. I got a lot of attention and compliments in that car too, but no one ever asked if my car was fast or asked me to smoke the tires.

My personal favorite so far...

4. A few days after I got camaro, my neighbor (a nosy old lady) said, "that's a nice car except for the black wheels. Why did it come with the black wheels? Why didn't it come with those big shiny chrome ones?" I replied, "it could have come with any rims in the world comes down to how much you want to spend. And I spent what wanted to."

I was driving out of Costco's parking lot yesterday and a guy and his wife were walking by, the guy pointed at the camaro and said "honey, look at that nice mustang!".
Can't fault him for his enthusiasm....but....

Someone in my gf's family, who had a 5th gen ss, started trying to tell another guy in that family, who was about 17 and looking into the car, about the rs package and all the performance upgrades it came with. He was so sure of himself and so god damned wrong with every word he spoke, even once I was in the conversation I couldn't say anything. It would've turned into a mobile wiki search to prove him wrong. Poor guy did know anything about the car he once had...those are the people that blow me away, the people who have this car and still think rs means suspension and gearing upgrades...
