Extended warranty?
Hello all, new to the forum and my first post. My wife and I are purchasing a 2010 aqua blue 2LT V6 camaro on Monday. It has 19000 miles. The factory warranty will expire July 2013. Are there any common problems with the 5th gen camaro's that would make it a good idea to pay for an extended warranty? Has anybody had any experiences with major repairs or expenses?

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=70 that's the forum for it. My 2011 has had no real issues.

I bought mine new and got the extended warranty anyway. I like the peace of mind. If the extra money isn't that big of a deal... I'd suggest to go for it.

Since it is over 12K miles wait to buy the warranty at just before 24K miles. The price will be the same and the warranty starts at purchase time. The idea is to minimize the overlap.

buy it at purchase and you'll never see the difference in money. It will not only give the wife but you also peace of mind that she is taken care of when she needs it.

I also bought mine brand new and got the extended warranty. The extra $20 a month is well worth knowing that it's completely covered for the next 7 years. Do it.

Thanks everyone for the input. Although I hate the thought of spending another $1500 it's probably the right thing to do. Especially as jd10013 mentioned.......a used camaro and not knowing what the previous owner did with it, this definitely makes sense.
