Sorry but the iPhone lasts a lot longer than a Samsung or Motorola. I've been using smart phones since 2005 and the iPhone has proven itself to me time and time again. And I can use it for a year and sell it for 50 bucks less than I paid for it. So what's the downside?? It does everything I need it to do and it lasts at least a year. Can't say that about the S3 razr maxx, razr, HTC phones. I'm not a computer guy. I want my phone to work out of the box. If I have to play around with it so it will work I have no use for it.

That doesn't necessarily mean it is superior. That just means it meets your needs. Here's the list of Samsung products I've had over the last 5 years (dates are approximate): Mar. 2012 - Samsung Galaxy Note Nov. 2011 - Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Sept. 2010 - Samsung Captivate Jan. 2008 - Samsung BlackJack Before this, I had a Sony Ericsson smart phone for a few years and before that was a Motorola RAZR and a couple of the old Nokia phones (which I think I still have all of these stored away somewhere )And every phone I've had can still have a SIM card put in it and turned on after a quick charge. The Captivate was accidentally dropped in a sink full of water, but the malfunctioning external speaker aside, it still operates flawlessly. So, just because your experience with Samsung products might not have been stellar, doesn't mean it's indicative of the products as a whole. As far as I can tell, as long as you don't treat your technology like crap, it should work just fine regardless of who makes it. But the way I've seen some people treat their phones (and other electronics, by extension) it's no surprise they go through phones like <insert bad pun here>. But then they get an iPhone and finally start treating their phone with kid gloves and then proclaim that it works so much better than their old phones that they treated like dirt.

My iPhone has been through hell. I own a property maintenance company. Every phone goes in a case. My iPhone is in a lifeproof. I get the best case I can find. I do talk about a million minutes a month. And I'm always surfing data so my phones get used dropped and thrown around. No phone gets special treatment.

I wasn't referring to you, specifically, but people in general.
How many of the S3's that you went through were put in the best case available?

Apple is money hungry, they are a joke of a company that consumers continue to support.
I have an SIII it is nothing like my girlfriend's 4, it's twice the size and 5x the phone. |

2 out of the 3. The first one wasn't in a case. Kept in my pocket. The screen would work intermittently. And the 2nd and 3rd one went right in a case out of the box.

So your saying their products are junk?? I don't agree with what they do as a company but they make great stuff. I'm gonna buy the best stuff I can. If its a apple product that's where my money goes. If its a Samsung that's what I'll buy. When they have something worth buying, ill buy it.

They make quality products, Samsung just offers more for the money, my opinion is through experience in what I've used and what is more user friendly and mod-able. If you put mod-ability into your decision you will NEVER choose an Apple, they're very limited. |

I just switched from a Galaxy S to the Galaxy SIII and I love the SIII. I spoke with many Apple owners who complained of the inability to hear ring tones and any add-ons that they put on their Apples...they were frustrated with the inability to customize the phones. I like to play with my phone as it is with me almost 20 hours a day it seems...so the Galaxy won out.
